Your family is in my thoughts and prayers and I send my deepest sympathy for your loss. Remembering the adorable little boy who always had a smile and was always so kind. It sounds like he became a wonderful adult loved and respected by all, not surprising. I cannot imagine the pain you must feel, but feel certain that Matt is now smiling down from Heaven.

He's so soft and gentle with words that always made me know he meant what he said;and the next thing you'd know he could make me laugh until it hurt. Our two families had the best times growing up, the simple life was so good. What we didn't have in money we well made up for in fun, love and great memories. To have had him in our life's for a short time is far greater than to never of had him at all. We'll always love you Matt.

Matt was well liked, well respected, and well regarded. He was in receipt of all this because he gave so much. Matt's character exemplified the reasons why so many people cherish growing up and living in small towns. To borrow a line from the movie "It's a Wonderful Life", Matt was the richest man in Mount Upton.

What do you say about something like this? Matt you will not be forgotten. You had a way about you that made things always seem good. Even as the little guy who had to have heart surgery, you still smiled and didn't let that slow you down.

Wow, what a long list of friends, family and loved one. I knew Matt when he was a student-athlete for those early GMU basketball teams. And later when we would do the Tri-Valley Championships on WCDO, we could count on All-Star Automotive to be a proud sponsor. That's when I would get to chat a bit with Matt. It is evident Matt touched so many in such a heartwarming fashion and in a too-short 38 years. Amazing and humbling.
