I want to extend my sympathies to the Button family on behalf of my parents, my brothers and myself.
As I mentioned on Facebook, it's like a part of our childhood has been chipped off, since the 60s & 70s were a time that, when we made friends in the neighborhood, the parents were part of the package. It paid dividends in gaining trust and acceptance as teenagers.
Long afterwards, Mr. Button would seem to catch up with me at the Big Top or someplace with food. It became a running joke.
You all have great memories to embrace going forward. I know I do.
