To the family of Don Jump, I wish to offer my condolences in his passing. He was a member of the Masonville community, member of the Masonville Fire Department at the same time I lived in Masonville, he also was in the fire department at the same time I was a volunteer. We had many occasions to stand shoulder to shoulder when doing different things for the community and when we were in the fire department. He was aways a gentle man and I had an endearing respect for him in his ability as a fire fighter. Many a time when the department needed him, he was there ready to do whatever was asked of him. My mind was alway at ease when I knew Don and the rest of the Jump family showed up on a scene to get to the business we had to do. I appreciated his military service and his volunteer service.
This man had a great laugh ( it was unique) to Don. You could tell when he was around by the laugh, that big smile, and a twinkle in his eye. The last time I had the honor to see him, it was like the first time I met him, a big Smile and a man’s handshake. I knew then, he was the real deal.
So Donny, Thanks for everything, the help, laughs, smiles, and our trials in service. You will be missed by all. RIP
Charlie Carvin
