Obituary of Joyce M. Alexander

Joyce Mae Alexander, 94 of Sidney passed away peacefully on March 14, 2024. She was born to the late Kenneth and Florence MacDonald in Unadilla on March 19, 1929. Joyce was a proud graduate of the Sidney Central School District. Joyce MacDonald married Brue Alexander, the love of her life, in June of 1954. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Joyce was also predeceased by her husband, Bruce. She is survived by Susan Alexander (Joel) Elk Grove, CA, Donna Eggleton (Leslie) of Saranac Lake and Ralph Alexander (Karen) of Woodbury, MN. Joyce is also survived by 4 grandsons, 2 step grandsons and several great grandchildren. In her free time Joyce enjoyed spending time with her family, catching crayfish in the creek with her grandsons, playing Bingo, line dancing and rides in the country counting deer and bald eagles. She also enjoyed being a member of the Sidney Alumni Association. A private memorial service will be held as per her request, at a future date. Donations can be made to the Sidney Volunteer Fire Department.
