Elaine was an active member of our church. She made quilts for ill children and she would bring them to church and have them blessed. She also worked with the Trustees to give scholarship awards to children graduating from high school and preparing for college. When our organist retired Elaine took piano lessons so she could play for our Sunday services. She also played violin on special Sundays for us. She was a very special person and we have all been so blessed to have known her and have been able to call her our friend..

Mrs Krum will always be my swim teacher! She was so kind and exuded pride for herself, family, and others. I’m thankful to have known her! Prayers and love to family and friends.

Elaine (Sanford) Krum attended and played her fiddle at many of the Sanford family reunions with the Hilton Kelly Band at the Grange Hall in Margaretville, NY. These family reunions have been held every 2 years in various locations for the past 75 years. This is a photo of Elaine and me, this past July 2023 at the family reunion in Selkirk, NY.

My heartfelt condolences to the family of Elaine. My Mom was a dear friend of Elaines and Elaine has done alot to help my Mom over the years. They had an enduring friendhip and Elaine will be greatly missed by my Mom and the Afton community. She was a very special person.

Elaine was so very kind and welcoming to me when I married her brother Dennis in 2005. She and Paul made the journey to California to be with us and for that I am very grateful.
She loved her family, was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She will be deeply missed.
