Tons of memories of the guy behind the counter at 20th Century Lanes...and I was never more than a recreational bowler!
Always a little imposing but a true family man, Frank was another rock in the foundation of my growing up years in Sidney. May you all find comfort in knowing he made a difference.

What a great man who will be deeply missed by all. Growing up next to the bowling alley and the leagues that my family was involved in, I spent many many hours there. Frank and Rose always treated me like family no matter when we were there and I always felt welcome. So many memories and good times.
Rose and family - may your wonderful memories bring peace to your heart in time knowing that he is an angel watching over you until you meet again. Wish I could come up for the service but it isn't possible right now. Please know that I send my love and deepest sympathy. Hugs and prayers.

WOW where do I start, every night I was the first one there at the Bowling Alley knowing Frank would be there with a pot of coffee on - I always had one on one time with him and enjoyed each night (just talking) because he cared about me - I have missed that time for years since I moved away - Frank, I don't too many people in my life and still don't today - thanks for all the great memories Frank - to Rose, Mary, Joe and Jeff - you all are in my/our thoughts and prayers - thanks for letting me grow up in the bowling alley, thanks for letting me be me and most of all thanks for being in my life, I'm a better person today because of you. Aunt Rose and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Though I haven't seen you all in while, I always thought you you guys whenever I passed Sidney or whenever someone mentioned Sidney. I will always remember coming to the bowling alley with mom and dad and climbing up on one of the stools and Uncle frank would always ask if it was a candy bar or hot chocolate today. And days when we would come over and Uncle frank would be in his chair and the bulldogs right there and him showing me that they were nice even though I was scared of them. lol You are all in my thoughts and prayers. ~Johnny Jr.~

We have very fond memories of Frank grilling the best burgers and fries for us at the bowling alley when we were dating as teenagers. Pete also has great memories of the back yard barbecues at the house on Willow Street. Frank taught us all bowling alley etiquette and we learned to respect our "hang out" at the Twentieth Century Lanes. I know Frank got a kick out of "us" and would often chuckle but most of all we will miss his smile. Our deepest sympathy for Rose and the Mazzarella family.

Rose and family,
I am so saddened to hear of Frankie's passing and please accept my sincere condolences. It seems like only yesterday when I used to call 2oth Century Lanes my second home. From the early Saturday morning 9:00 AM junior leagues with Dunk and Dina to the adult Friday and Sunday night leagues with you and Frankie. I will always cherish those memories and all the conversations that went on at the lunch counter with those great cheeseburgers. Later on, I always had to stop at the Bowling Alley when visiting town to say hello and catch up.
My sincere thoughts and prayers are with you.
