Obituary of Rose M. Wilson

Rose M. Wilson of Mt. Upton, went to be with the Lord on August 16, 2023. She was 80 years old. Rose was a school bus driver in Spring Valley while married to her husband of 27 years, Richard Knapp, who passed away in 1985. Rose relocated to Mt. Upton and married her childhood sweetheart, Harold Wilson, who passed away in 1989. Rose worked at Keith Clark as a Tabbing Assistant and retired at the age of 62. She enjoyed trips to Turning Stone Casino and loved life. Watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow gave her great joy. Rose went by many names to each of them, and each one had a special meaning to her. Rose is survived by her sister, Carol (Susie) Pelayes; brother, Bruce VanPelt; daughters: Sonia Edwards (husband, Jim), Brenda Welsh (husband, Milton), and Karen Gildersleeve (husband, Mike); son, Richard Knapp (wife, Bethanne); grandchildren: Jim Jr., Heidi, Melissa, Dom, Mike Jr., Jon, Rick, Jesse and Aliya; and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husbands, Rose was predeceased by her son, Eric; her daughter, Tracy; and her brother, Ralph VanPelt. We are sad in our hearts for the loss of our loved one, but we are content she is with the Lord. There will be a private service at a later date. No calling hours will be scheduled.
