Obituary of Pauline G. Wilson
Pauline G. Wilson peacefully passed from the clutches of Alzheimer's to be with her personal Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, Thursday, November 11, 2010 at the home of Alice Ahner in Harpursville, NY.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Daniel and Debra Wilson of Sidney, grandchildren; Shan and Kim Wilson of Myrtle Beach SC, Scott and Jennifer Wilson of Mount Pleasant Mills, PA, and Robert and Danielle (Wilson) Star of Palm Coast, FL., great-grandchildren; Alyvia, Emma, Everest, Jocelyn, and Robert.
She was born February 25, 1930, as one of seven children to Ira and Frances Neer in Roxbury, NY. She was predeceased by her parents, sister Mary Jennings of Sidney, and brothers Ira Neer of Bainbridge and Harvey Neer of Garrettsville. She is survived by Doris Omahen of Sidney, Herbert and Carol Neer of Laurens, Elaine Neer of Garrettsville, Edith Griffith of Otego, Shirley Wood of Stamford, Robert and Joanne Neer of McClure.
Pauline loved her family and enjoyed sewing outfits, quilts, and hangings for the grand children and was gravely disappointed she could not continue for her great grandchildren. She was always giving and never asked for herself. A true servant spirit. Her greatest passion was for all of her family to personally know Jesus Christ to ensure eternal life together. When she was healthy, she loved picking fruit with her sisters, grandchildren and friends, looking forward to each season. Always resulting in blueberry buckle, jam, or something of that nature for everyone else to enjoy.
Employed at W.H. Kent, Inc.'s Ben Franklin Store in Sidney for 35+ years, enjoying the friendship and care of the Kent family, she was known as the "material counter" lady. She loved serving God in church as a nursery Sunday school teacher for many years as well as serving behind the scenes in other ministries never wanting to bring attention to herself, but glory to God. She was a member of Christian and Missionary Alliance Church (now known as Circle Drive Alliance in Sidney, NY) for about 50 years.
She has lived with Alice Ahner for the last 3 years who has so graciously and lovingly cared for her every need. Watching the wildlife, listening and singing to hymn music, Sunday rides, and feeling the sunshine on her face were the simple pleasures she has so enjoyed the last few months. God blessed her with a sense of graciousness and a loving spirit through the last few years until Jesus was ready for her to come home.
Pauline loved camping at Delta Lake Bible Conference Center and donations may be made on her behalf in lieu of flowers. Delta Lake Bible Conference Center 6420 Pillmore Drive Rome, NY 13440
