Obituary of Heather Lyne Wood
Please share a memory of Heather to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Heather Lyne Wood, 42, of Masonville, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown. She was born on November 2, 1980, firstborn daughter of Teresa (Lent) and Jeffery Wood. She grew up alongside her best friend since birth, her sister Amber; always getting into trouble together. What one wouldn't do, the other would.
Heather loved children, and was a devoted mother to her 14 year old son, Isiah, who was her sunshine. She also worked with special needs children and loved her job immensely. Still in college, Heather was always working to better herself. Purple was definitely her color.
Family was everything to Heather. In addition to her son, Isiah, Heather is survived by her mother, Teresa Ciraolo; her father, Jeff Wood (Vera); sister, Amber; brother, Ryan; niece, Lilianna (Lily); grandmother, Patricia Lent; grandfather, Steven Roff; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her grandfather, Kenneth M. Lent and grandmother, Barbara Roff.
Friends are invited to call from 5:00-7:00pm on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney. Memorial services will follow at 7:00pm at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be made to benefit her son Isiah Wood.
