We have known Jody for over forty years, she was the kindest, most sincere and caring person. Always cheerful and smiling, spreading happiness wherever she was. What Heaven has gained a multitude of mortals will miss. RIP Jody.

Oh that laugh ... actually more of a giggle ...and always with a twinkle in her eye.

Q: What will you never forget about June?
A: Jody was one of the first adults I ever trusted. I met her when I was only 7 years old and living right next door. She was direct, and never said what she didn't mean. Hard for a child to take, sometimes, but I knew that no matter what she told me, it was the truth. She and her family were my neighbors for 8 years-hard years-and she never one time let circumstance keep her from smiling at me , or encouraging me when she saw me. There are few adults in my childhood that ever deserved my trust. Jody was at the top of that list . I was blessed to have her on the periphery of my childhood, giving a daily example of what a safe place for a child looks and feels like. Thank you, Jody. You may not have known you were teaching, but I learned a lot from you.
