Obituary of Eric M. Hitt

Eric M. Hitt, known to many as Cowboy, passed away unexpectedly on October 22, 2022. Eric was one of the gentlest, kindest people you ever met, and if you knew him you would agree. He made his share of mistakes, but if you knew him you know he more than made up for it in the kindness and compassion he showed everyone. He would help everyone he met in any way he could. Eric loved fishing and the outdoors; he would never pass up a chance to go fishing. He also loved tinkering with anything motor related, might now have always succeeded, but he would give it his best. He is survived by: his father, John Hitt (Lori Bennett-Hitt); his sisters: Stephanie Powers (Hitt) (Ed Burnett) and Christina Rowe; grandfather, Ken O'Keefe; nieces: Myah Brandenburg and Gabryela Ocasio; nephews: Elijah Powers and Remmy Soleki, and several aunts and uncles, cousins and many friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Paulette M. Rowe (O'Keefe). May we all cherish the time we spent with him. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 12:00-2:00pm at C.H.
