We grew up together in the Methodist Church and in Jr/Sr high school. Your mom was always so much fun and so positive, almost to the end. Every time I came back to Sidney I would make sure to visit you and see what you were doing and playing and where. You came down to Delaware to play the organ for my first wedding and I remember talking about what music you'd play. You never made it down to visit me in Virginia, but I knew you were busy playing organ and conducting choirs all over the Sidney/Norwich area. I remember when Doris got married. I think you might have played for that wedding too. Your Lego creations were amazing, so detailed. I'm so glad Linda DeBloom Stock and I got to visit you when we came up for reunion. You always loved the reunions. You would sometimes get me a copy of the program for your class so I could keep up with people. I will miss you for your pure clean spirit of fun and faith and your organ playing. You must have spent thousands of hours between the piano and organ practicing for services and recitals. I know Chelsea was your constant companion and loved you like a sister. God bless her for her dedication to you. Now you are free to be healthy again. Thank you for all of those years together.

So many memories of Karen and various music concerts and recitals…Monday Evening Music Club in Norwich, First Baptist in Norwich, Gilbertsville Presbyterian, …. But my fondest memory of Karen was when herself and her brother, David, came to our house for Christmas dinner.
God bless you Karen.

How do I put into words all the memories we created together?
I don't remember the beginning. You told me many times your mother's story about us being put together in the playpen.
Kindergarten! Taking your dare to climb over the Pleasant St playground fence after school. Thankfully you ran and got my dad to get me down when I was hanging there!! I never took another dare in these 72 years!
Learning to ride our bikes, May Days, hopscotch, Sunday school, birthdays, big celebrations and small ones. Helping convince your family to let you have your first two cats. Doing homework together and we made it through all the advanced classes!
I was so upset when your dad died getting the car ready for your very first vacation. It never felt fair that you didn't get to go on a family vacation. My dad had demanded that we go on vacation every summer.
After graduation you went to college and I married and moved to Germany, Washington, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Alabama, California . . . . We always kept in touch. We always had each others backs. I'm very thankful I was able to talk to you just before you passed on. I learned a lot from you and I'm thankful you remain in my heart. Such sweet memories.
Tell your family "Hi", thankful you now are at peace and I'll join you someday.
"Later" dear friend.
