It was very rare we seen our American family, the last time was when Marg and Heather came to stay in England (Liverpool) and we all went to Paris! Marg, Heather, my mum Mavis, Aunty Barb, Marion, Michelle Sharron and myself. Well what a ball we had, laughter from start to finish! We went to Disneyland Paris, and the sights of Paris. On the open air tourist bus, my mum opened a bottle of water that squirted over the people behind and they thought it was raining! Oh we laughed about that the whole holiday! Then Shaz put on sunscreen then the heavens opened! We had to dive into Norte Dame to take cover!
So many tales to tell and fond memories. Rest In Peace Marg! Go join the party with my mum Mavis, Margie & Tommy, Aunty Peg & Uncle Arthur xx
Sending my love to Gary, Lee & Heather and all the family & friends that loved her.

Marg was my cousin, 10 years older than myself. She was such an inspiration to me, beautiful inside and out, she had a wicked sense of humour and an infectious laugh! I always wanted to be like her, I loved her fashion choices and I often tried to do my hair the way she did hers.
Aunty Marjie used to occasionally look after my brother, Dean and I. I used to love reading her comics, The Bunty and The Judy.
Aunty Marjie’s house was always the family meeting place on Christmas Day and I have many fond memories of such a happy household. I was always spoilt rotten by everyone including Marg, Marion and Dave. We were told that Father Christmas had left us presents under their tree.
Marg took myself and Wendy (her friends daughter) on holiday to Torquay where she had worked with her friend Chris. It was a big responsibility for a 21 year old to take an 11 and 12 year old on holiday but she was sensible and our parents obviously trusted her with us. We felt really grown up, being on holiday without our parents and we laughed so much. Marg said I frightened the life out of her one night, she thought I was dead cos I was asleep with my eyes half open.
Marg and Chris were like a comedy duo, we called them Beryl and Sandra from a 1970’s sitcom called ‘The Liver Birds’.
She went on holiday with our Aunty Barb to America and liked it that much that she decided to emigrate. How brave is that? I would never of had the courage to do that.
I don’t know much about her life over there but I do know that her family was her world and Lee and Heather, you are blessed to have had such a wonderful mum! You are both a credit to her.
Sending my sincere condolences and sympathy to both of you, Gary and all of the family.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Adding this on behalf of Barb!
I have special memories of Marg. Even though I was her Aunty to me she was more like a sister as I was only 7 years older than her and we were brought up together.
While my mum was alive, Marion , David and Margaret spent a lot of time with their Ninny (grandmother).
There was one time, when I arrived home from school, Marg was playing in the brook, wearing my dolls bathing costume and apparently David thought she was drowning, shouting for Ninny to come and help. Ninny tried fishing her out and got her rather long bloomer’s caught on barbed wire which Marion found hilarious as she had never seen such big knickers. Marg was safe and sound and was just happily playing but I wasn’t best pleased that she was wearing my dolls bathing costume!
We were also good friends and enjoyed many a night out in the Pipe & Gannex and The Old Club. We had some really good times, enjoying a drink, a chat and a good laugh.
We went on holiday to America together and Margaret enjoyed it so much that this is where she decided to spend the rest of her life.
I missed her dearly but always kept in touch. So sad to hear of her passing!
Sending love and deepest sympathy to Gary, Lee, Heather and all of her family.

My mom was one of a kind! She was sarcastic and witty and if you really knew her, had a hilarious sense of humor!
She loved kids and she loved her job at GMU. She helped, supported and loved so many children in her career. She never wanted to retire. Her job was (I think) the best part of her day. Don't get me wrong though, she looked forward to those summer vacations!
She loved her grand babies so much, they were the spark in her eye.
She loved her family, ALL OF THEM. She honestly did. She loved family.
Mom was a phenomenal cook and thankfully she passed that down! Hated baking though! Her favorite meal was roast beef and yorkshire pudding.
In the day, she was so adventurous! I mean, who moves across the world on their own? She made many long term friends along the way, that she loved dearly. The stories she had and listening to her tell them was always a riot! I loved our conversations.
She was a proud woman, kept to many things to herself and didn't ask for help.
She instilled a great work ethic on myself, taught me to work hard, be honest, brave and to always keep pushing on.
She LOVED to GAMBLE! BUT, she was so cheap, she would only play the penny machines at the casino! She would spend the entire day at the penny machine! Scratch off tickets... the word game ones.... or bingo ones, she LOVED them!
She loved art, books and writing.
She loved the simple life. Nothing frilly or fancy.
She hated attention. She hated her picture taken.
She was our biggest supporter, she just wanted to see us happy. She wasn't easy on us BUT that is how she showed us she loved us.
I LOVE you Mama, always, you rest easy and pain free now, you deserve all the roses, all the wine and all the freaking ciggys you want!
Till I see you again
your favorite child, Lee

Maggie was a sweet lady whom I had the privilege of knowing as a parent and staff member at GMU. She was always willing to lend a hand when ever needed. She would talk about her children, Heather, Crystal and Lee whom I had as students. She was proud of their accomplishments and life success. God bless and know he surrounds you with his loving arms.
