Jack Spinelli went to school with the Drotar kids . When we went to Sidney to visit we would always visit Pete and Dot .Such great people. Fond memories of the whole family. I will miss her .

I have known the entire Drotar family since I was their neighbor on Pineview Terrace in Sidney. I remember playing at their home
and playing baseball with them at my house. Every kid should be able to enjoy a great family oriented enviroment like Mrs. Drotar and the other families created for us. She was a lady that I always respected. Rest in Peace.

In 1985, I visited Dorothy and Peter Drotar at their home in Florida for a few days while traveling across country. My visit was intended to be a quick stop to say hello, since their youngest son David had been a college friend and roommate a decade earlier. They urged me to stay a few days as Dave was due for a visit.
I enjoyed my time with the Drotars during that visit as well as their hospitality, but one little thing has stood out more than almost everything else all these years later: Mrs. Drotar's very tasty split pea soup.

Dot was a wonderful neighbor and friend. She lived a long, fulfilling life, and we are grateful she is now at peace. We will be thinking of her family at this sad time.
