We are so sorry to hear of Mimi's passing. Reminiscing about Rome, NY and sharing our silly stories about doctors' visits were always a highlight of stopping on the sidewalk on Bridge St. when Mimi was outside. She and my dad both went to Catholic school together in Rome (SAA and AHN) and knew many of the same people from way back when.
We always had a lovely chat when I called her to make soup or jello for the Lenten Soup Supper for years and years! She was such a sweet, generous, and beautiful lady. She will be missed.
Love,
Paula (Worlock) Dewey and family

What a great family reunion must be happening up there. When I lost my parents at a young age, Mimi made sure I always heard from her and that family ties were strong. Until I see you again my sweet cousin, Nancy.

Sorry to learn of Mrs. Roberts passing. Many decades have gone by since I moved away from Sidney in 1979. Many fond memories remain, from learning how to ice skate in your back yard, to Girl Scout meetings, camping trips, cookie sales and our troop’s excursion to NY City. Your belief that “your girls” could do anything has carried us farther than the Gold Star Awards we earned under your leadership. RIP

It seems a bit surreal to offer condolences to the Roberts family and let me tell you why.
Shortly after this website was created I found it to be a special opportunity to pay tribute to those who passed. At some point, Mimi found me at an event at Sacred Heart to let me know she thought my condolences were extra touching.
Now, I’m attempting to do the same for her. Mimi definitely had grace and a constant positive presence. She had a natural ability to be comforting to those who needed a hand to hold. The world could use more loving souls like Mimi Roberts.
May you all cherish the memories and know she’s reunited with loved ones in Heaven.

So sorry for your loss Jamie and Aimee. I have many fond memories of your mom. She was a committed and fun Girl Scout leader, who put up with plenty of shenanigans, and was so talented and generous. Mrs. Roberts made my first prom dress. I always saw you guys as a cool and interesting family. I’m sure she’ll be missed. Sending love, Kristine Suriano Hersey

Dear Jamie, Jeana, Aimee, and Michael,
Mimi was a beloved cousin and friend. We enjoyed visiting her homes in Sidney and in Rome. Since those days we have stayed in contact through many telephone calls. We have never met many of the Roberts family but hereby extend our heartfelt condolences to all of you. By now, Mimi and Jim are reunited in heaven. May they each rest in peace.
