Obituary of Shirley T. Curtis

Shirley Curtis was born at home in Masonville, NY to Arthur and Nellie Turtur April 21, 1927. She departed this life on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the Chase Nursing Home in New Berlin, NY. Shirley lived in Masonville all her life. She married Milton Curtis on New Year's Eve in 1954. Shirley worked at Scintilla in the cafeteria, and also as a bank teller in Sidney. Her job that she held closest to her heart was taking care of her family. She took pride in being a homemaker for her husband and children. She was in the Auxiliary for the Masonville Fire Department as well as a member of the Masonville Federated Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Milton, and her brothers, Harold and Arnold. She is survived by: her son, Jeffrey Curtis (Kelly); daughter, Pamela Cancilla (Steve); granddaughter, Jessica Johnson (David); grandsons, Brian Curtis, Jason Curtis (Amanda) and Michael Rogers (Samantha); great-grandchildren: Amelia, Carson, Jack, Mable and Theodore; as well as several nieces and nephews. Shirley is where she wants to be and that is with her husband and the Lord. She will be missed by her family but know she is at peace now. We love you Mom.
