Obituary of Viola W. Schmitz

Viola W. Schmitz 73 of Bainbridge passed away November 27, 2021 at Delhi Nursing home. She was born on December 4th, 1947, in Binghamton New York, daughter of James Harry and Waneita Mulwane. Viola is survived by her husband Raymond Schmitz, her daughter Julie and Charles Olcott. She is survived by her three grandchildren Jordan Olcott, Mariah Olcott, and Jadyn Olcott who were her pride and joy. She will be dearly missed by her twin sister Iola Colvin, and her younger sister Shirley Saunders. Viola leaves behind her two dogs Banjo and Merlin whom she loved dearly, and who were the light of her life. She is survived by several nephews, and many great friends. She was predeceased by her mother and father James Harry and Waneita Mulwane, and her older brother Harold (Duck) Babock. Viola loved to be with people, you could count on her being at every bingo event at the fire departments. She spent many days at the Senior Center with her closest friends. Viola loved spending time with her grandchildren, and attended every school event for them. Viola loved doing puzzles and doing any arts and craft project one could come up with. We welcome all of those who knew and loved Viola to attend services at C.H.
