Obituary of Irene E. Cordner

Irene E. Cordner, 99, of Sidney passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at O'Connor Hospital in Delhi, just 3 days before her 100th birthday. Irene was born October 23, 1921, daughter of the late Kenneth and Iva(Cummings) Stoutenberg. Irene retired from Bendix in Sidney. She is survived by two sons; Gene Cordner of Afton and Gerald Cordner of Bainbridge; one daughter; Sonja Wilson of New Hartford, 20 grandchildren; over 20 great-grandchildren; one brother; Pete(Pauline) Stoutenberg; as well as several nieces and nephews. With special mention of nephew Bob Pierson and his wife Ellie, and niece Shirley Curtis. She was predeceased by her husband; Wilson Cordner, her children; Donna Cordner, Nancy Roof, Debra Barnard, Sandra Christensen, and William Cordner, daughter-in-law; Deborah Cordner, granddaughter; Shannon Barnard, brothers; Kenneth Stoutenberg Jr. and Royce Stoutenberg, and sisters; Flippy Sawdy and Vera Howard. A graveside service will be held for immediate family on November 2nd at 11:00 am at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Sidney.
