I remember the day me and Lloyd took off at 8:00 in the morning to get a very old D6 Cat. We finally got back home with it at 2:00 am the next morning. I helped him rebuild it that winter. I had a good time helping him and learned a lot too! I also used to ride with him in his Peterbilt hauling milk to NYC. I really liked it when him and my dad "John" would get to talking about the old days. He had a way of telling you a story like nobody else. I have many good memories of Lloyd and will miss him very much but also have fond thoughts of the time we spent working on things together.

Lloyd was in my Class of '53 as Lloyd Darlin even though he did not graduate with us. He was a very friendly classmate to all. I also learned that we were distantly related. He was always a "happy go lucky" fellow and liked by all. He will be missed. May God bless his family and friends with Peace. Phyllis (Betts) Place

Lloyd you were always one to bring a smile to everyone who knew you. Able to figure a way through any problem presented to you.
I knew you from when you took over the Masonville Highway Dept., you carried out that task with ease. Many laughs, knowing you.
Rest In Peace old friend.

I extend my sympathy to the entire Darling family. He was one of the many great Dads in our neighborhood, and if I remember right, he’d join in playing with us kids at times. He was a man of many talents and abilities. I pray your memories will bring you comfort despite your sorrow. Linda

To the entire extended Darling family-your tribute to him in the obit is spot on about Lloyd. He was, and remained up until his death, a very hard working man that took care of his family and taught that lesson to all of his children, grandchildren, and all of us in the community, by association. You can all be very proud of that.
We were so very sorry to hear of his passing, but I'm sure he was received by all with a "well done" in his next adventures. Sending love and hugs to all of you

Standing in his shop and waiting for anyone to stop by. Whether they needed something machined, welded, fixed, or just to visit, when the door was open, Dad was there. I'll miss you Dad.
