Obituary of Joan Mundy

Joan Mundy, born May 8, 1944, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2021 at home with her family after a battle with cancer; Joan was a fighter right up to the end. Joan loved her family and spending time with them as well as the holiday seasons and family events. She always went out of her way to make sure the Holidays were perfect, from the decorations to the food. Joan also loved her Mets baseball. Joan is survived by: her son, Thomas Lihn; her daughter, Amy Mundy (Albee Castro); and her son, William Mundy; her grandchildren that she adored: Samantha Mundy, Kae'Leigh Mundy, Adriana (Andrew) Castro, Ethan Lihn and Emily Lihn; as well as her niece, Michelle Morrisey; nehews: John Morris James and Olga Morris; and her great-nieces and nephews; her special friends Katherine Murphy and Cheryl Brigante; and Sarah Wilson, who she considered to be like another daughter. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Robert G Mundy; father and mother, John Crawshaw and Amelia Miltner Crawshaw; her brothers, William & John Crawshaw; her sisters, Catherine Crawshaw and Eleanor Morris; as well as her grandson, Matthew R.
