Rest in peace Lyle. I will always remember seeing you on the village streets. Summer time it was always tank tops, shorts, sandals and sunglasses. Always had a cheerful greeting and was constantly smiling. The village will never be the samel

How shocked I was of Lyle's passing just days after our last hello when he was on his knees bagging leaves on the front lawn of the Village House grounds. I was always so proud of the care he took in making the grounds look to professionally done.
Last year the Historical Association hired him to trim the hedges and mow the lawn at the Museum (church). It was perfect right down to the last clipping.
I will miss his smile.
Rest in Peace Lyle.

Lyle was truly one of a kind with the corniest jokes or puns I’ve ever heard.
During his first stint as caretaker of the Unadilla Community House we often had Tuesday lunches (pizza) at Tony’s. He was obsessed with 1960s singer Sandy Posey. I had to look her up she was so obscure. Sure enough she had a top 40 hit.
Lyle’s attention to detail was amazing. Yet he had such an easy gong manner. He’s going to be missed.

He was a wonderful person and very dedicated in his work. I will miss seeing him at the library! I loved his humor and seeing the hard work he did around the neighborhood. ❤️❤️

I'm so sad to hear of Lyle's passing. He was a real fun and loving guy to be around. I remember when I had my store on main st Sidney he would walk in at least once a week to tell me some new funny jokes and off he'd go on his merry way again.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends, I hope they find peace, and comfort in knowing so many people loved him.
