Dear Roberta and Sylvia,
From my earliest childhood days when I visited your home to play, your beautiful Mom was always so welcoming and kind to me. Though most people knew her as Laura, she always signed her Christmas cards to me as "Aunt Louise," since that's the way she knew that I knew her. I think she was so remarkable, incredible and admirable to have soldiered on after losing two beloved husbands, but somehow she did. She was an inspiration, for sure. I hope that your memories will help as you mourn the loss of such a special lady.

Dick and I so enjoyed visiting Don and Laura when they lived in the trailer park near East Guilford. Dick and Don had many memories of living in Rockdale NY. Laura and I had some great visits. Laura was fun to be with and always so welcoming!

Sylvia and Roberta- Cheryl called this morning to tell me about your Mom. What a SAD thing for me, because I had really wanted to get over to see her. As with other things, daily happenings get in the way, and now it's too late.
Oh, how many memories of your mom I have. From going to the State Fair with you, to Maine. That was quite an adventure. I feel so blessed to have had your folks as my second set of parents. I just loved your Dad. We have several pictures of him at camp, standing there larger than life. One word I have to describe your Mom, is spitfire. I know I never wanted to be around when she was mad. Oh, such great memories. Rest assured, we will ALL miss your Mom.
Love you! Karen and Bob Bruning
