Obituary of Roy John Kruger

Roy John Kruger Sidney Center, NY Roy John Kruger, 78 of Crane Hill Road, Sidney Center, passed away Thursday evening, May 27, 2010 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, surrounded by his family. Roy was born on December 5, 1931, son of the late Roy Vincent and Getrude Louise Veronica (Ritter) Kruger in Passaic, NJ. On December 13, 1952, Roy married Martina Nelly Schenk in Passaic, NJ. Martina predeceased him on March 20 1993 after 40 years of love and marriage. Roy proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Roy was an avid outdoorsman: he greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing and firearms. He trained racing pigeons, as well as raised Rottweilers. He loved his family and will be greatly missed. Roy is survived by: 5 Children: Christina Kruger and Sean McCann Mt. Upton Bonnie Kruger and David "Red" Reynolds Sidney Center Donna and Kenny Finch Sidney Center Kevin and Liz Kruger Pequea, PA Roy and Linda Kruger Sidney Center 12 Grandchildren: Abigail and Chelsea St. John, Lindsay Leonard, Amanda Newell, Billy, Mike and Jenny Finch, Braden, Alex and Quentin Kruger, R.J. Kruger and Jessica (Kruger) Pounds 10 great-grandchildren Brother, Barry Kruger Fort Meyers, FL As well as 3 nieces and 1 nephew In addition to his wife, Martina and his parents, Roy was predeceased by infant granddaughter, Alicia Newell.
