So sorry to hear about your Mom. She & I became friends when your Dad worked at Sundown. Your Mom taught me how to play single deck double solitaire and I've passed that "knowledge" on to many others over the years. Specifically I recall while learning the game that she said "Having the kings doesn't always have to be a losing situation" and she was right-at least that time. It was the first time I beat her! She was a classy lady and I think of her every time I play that solitaire game-which is often. May your happy memories also keep her in your hearts forever.

Dear Family of dear Gladys,
I just read of your mother's passing in the Tri-Town News which I receive late here in Slingerlands.
Gladys and I were classmates and friends, often walking home from school together after our families both moved up on the hill. I remember how we "dawdled" up the hill, talking about Don and other people of interest in our lives, as teenaged girls do.
Your mother was a quiet, good-natured girl. You have my sincere sympathy in the bereavement of your mother.

We send our sincere condolences to you on the passing of your dear mother. I got to know her while working at the Unadilla Library and when she tended to our mutual friend, Bettie Tama. Gladys' sweet spirit and love for life touched us all. She is certainly missed. May the LORD God grant you comfort and strength at this time.
