Mary was my "sister" for 61 years. She was a caring, loving wife, mother, in-law, and friend. She recently was blessed with the knowledge she was a grandmother and was thrilled to meet her granddaughter. She and Eddie shared a good life together. Our family has many memories to comfort us. Rest in peace Mary, your journey is completed. You are in our hearts forever.

My heart goes out to all those in the Barnes family but especially to Mr. Barnes, Randy and Mike. Mrs. Barnes and my mom were the best of friends when we were growing up. They took turns hosting coffee and "gab" sessions at each other's homes while we kids were out terrorizing the neighborhood. Fun times... I really missed that after they moved to the house on Pearl Street. Rest in Peace Mrs. Barnes. Say hi to my mom and dad for me. Hope you and mom get to share a few more coffee dates together now.

I’m so very thankful for all the good memories we had with Mary, Eddie, Randy, and Mike! We had good times vacationing together, playing cards, family picnics, or visiting over a cup of coffee. I feel a real loss at this time but I’m thankful Mary is no longer suffering and at peace with so many that went before her! My love and prayers at this time to Eddie, Randy, Mike and Julianne!

Many years ago, Ed, Mary, Randy and Mike lived across from the Davie house on West Main St. Theirs was my first house to go to for play time after school. Mary was always a cheery and accommodating mom, made things fun. Obviously many things changed over time but that memory is still quite vivid as I offer my condolences to the Barnes family. May she Rest In Peace, totally pain-free.

I miss my neighborhood and all those I grew up with. I remember Mrs Barnes and my mom going back and forth having coffee while we conquered the world. Top of the world .... mean ol mommy .... hiding in Duke’s dog house....throwing green apples .... It all made them crazy but at least they had each other to commiserate with! Mary . .... please hug mom for me and to the rest of you I love you all and my heart breaks with you and for you. Hugs! Love Terry85

My heart is heavy and has been since she fell ill.
My Mom,( her Aunt, BETTY Atkinson) basically raised her, so she was a close part of our family for many, many years. I reach out to Eddie, Randy and Mike and to others related or who befriended her.
I share your loss. Rest In Peace, Mary.
