Obituary of Margaret P. Gormley

Margaret "Pat" Priscilla Gormley March 23, 1932 – April 25, 2019 Our Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Aunt graduated to Glory on Thursday, April 25, 2019. Margaret was born in Sidney, N.Y. in 1932 to Austin and Helen Bourn. She attended Guilford High School. During her life, she worked at many places including Norwich Pharmaceuticals, The Pillars Restaurant, and Rockdale Restaurant from which she retired in 2007. Margaret is survived by her eight children: Debra Leggett Clark and husband Steve of Bowie, MD; Teri Leggett Buck and husband Craig of Fredericksburg, VA; Jeffrey Leggett and wife Mary of Johnson City, NY; Rebecca Leggett Ayers and husband Mike of Fredericksburg, VA; Harry Scott Leggett of Fredericksburg, VA; James Gormley, Jr. of Sidney, NY; Patrick Gormley and wife Melissa of Bland, VA; and Brenda Gormley Seybert and husband Dave of Stafford, VA. She is survived by 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Margaret is also is survived by one sister, Nancy Bourn Kaufman of Cartersville, GA. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well. Her two brothers, Austin S. Bourn and Harry Bourn predeceased her. Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019 from 5:30-7:30pm at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2019 beginning at 3:00pm at the Sidney Assembly of God Full Life Church, 123 Plankenhorn Road, Sidney, NY 13838. Memorial donations in Margaret's memory may be directed to the Delaware Valley Humane Society, 101 E. Main St. Sidney, NY 13838.
