It took me a few days to think of the right way to put my words in the right context for memories of Ed. But one non-word always comes to me.
That non-word is "Keeeee-ryst". It is as unique as Ed was. It always meant something. But no one else could utter it with the same pizzazz. Usually, he said it when I arrived at poker. Or once everyone arrived at Fessy's camp for the post-golf cookout & cards. Or when he thought he had a winning hand only to be beaten at the end. Or maybe the other way around(?) But...it was never said in anger, to my knowledge. Fun times with Lambie, always.
Mindy, your collective eulogy is a tremendous tribute. The cliche of "life well lived' can be taken for granted but with your dad, it's magnified to perfection. NO doubt, that man will be missed.

Mindy..family and friends..you have my deepest condolences..Ed was a true friend and we shared much time together in the fire dept...he hosted the macdonald hose Christmas party for years.held at the union hall for Bendix...Friday night poker games for years..and the food always a belly full...fixed food for the outing at fessy camp candor during the days we played golf .. old and new camp...I visited Ed 2 days prior to his passing...they don't making them like good ol lamby..any more..

This is well written, Mom. Thank you for this tribute. You captured every aspect of him. He was such a great man. I am truly blessed to be his granddaughter with so many fond memories; Friday night dinners being one of my favorites. I am going to miss him dearly and whole heartedly.
