My condolences on the passing of “the other George Harrison” as I liked to call him.
Any dad with 4 daughters in one family is a great man. I knew Suzi as she worked at WCDO. We often spoke of that “label” he had. He and Jan were inseparable so their reunion will be joyous.
Treasure those memories. He was a special guy.

My condolences to George's family. I am saddened to hear of his passing. When I moved to Rockdale about 23 years ago, Kristie and I went to the Hotel to celebrate the closing on our property. We were welcomed into the "community" so kindly by George and Jan, and remained friends from that time on. I will always cherish the "wisdom" that was shared by George, Jan, Art, and others at the bar. I will miss seeing him pass by the house in his car, with a friendly wave and honk of the horn. Rest in Peace my friend.

My heartfelt sympathies to Georges familily. So many memories, going back to Jan.she was a great spirit and loved George and her family so.George was never the same after her passing, but he made the best of every day. We had so many special talks. Was so impresses, he was a great dective, including the ammittyville horror. All on film, have seen many times and is still on tv today. He was a humble man and a great friend. Will miss u and our talks. George went though so much, but with great grace. he lived everyday for his kids and great grandkids. His family lit up his life. Always talking about everything u did for him. He is where he most longed to be with. Jan. Rip my friend. Fly high, u have ur wings.

I am so very sorry to hear of George’s passing. I enjoyed his fun at both my work and play. I met at my workplace and took care of his and janet’s needs, and also bowled with Janet, while her adoring husband George watched . George was also a good friend of my husband’s cousin. I loved hearing of many a “detective George” story, and even got a wonderful signature in my book of Amityville murder. My friend George was a wonderful guy. George, you have been a great friend, I pray that you are celebrating life, and your reconnection with Janet... I will never Forget your grace and love. I have no idea how you had such a sweet personality when you went through so much in your police life job. You amaze me. God bless you, and prayers to your family. I’m sure they are in awe of you also.

I'm shocked and saddened to find out that George has passed away. I just saw him this past Sunday at the VFW breakfast in Sidney, and got to give him a big hug. Such a kind and special man. May his soul rest in peace...
