I first met Ron when His daughter, Ronda and I dated years ago, and she introduced me to him and it was a friendship right from the start. All these years later we were still friends, occasionally running into each other, we always stop and chatted for a bit. I will definitely miss him and all the knowledge of being a mechanic he passed on to me. God Bless Ron.

To Suzanne, Mark, Scott, Terri and the rest of your wonderful family: I first met Ron in 1969 when my family moved to Guilford. Ron was the first person in our class to welcome me; he did more than that, he opened his arms to me and offered me his friendship. I spent many days and nights in the Parsons' home. We played baseball (I should say He played - I struggled!), talked about classic WW II airplanes, God and life in general. Ron was always gregarious and fun... always had a quick joke and smile for everyone. We hadn't connected in years and missed each other at our class reunions, but have talked recently on Facebook, pledging to get together soon. Now, I've missed that chance. He loved his family, his country and his work. I am a better person for knowing him. My deepest sympathy to his wife and children. It's always hard to lose someone precious in such a shocking way. Never wait to tell someone you love them ; you never know when you will get another chance. My love to you all.

So sorry to hear about Ron. My husband and I enjoyed visiting with him at his job and will miss him. A course I have known him all my life, and I have fond memories of him teaching me to swim at Guilford lake. We are thinking of Ron's family.

So many fond memories of Ron from when we were kids in Bainbridge-Guilford schools. We'd reconnected in recent years and I enjoyed talking with him again from time to time. My sympathy to the family at this time; he was a great guy with a big heart.
