Pat & Jim Howe and their entire family were an immense part of my family's life, while I was growing up. In fact, I wouldn't be here today most probably, if it weren't for Jimmy introducing Dad and Mom to one another.
I have many happy memories of shared family gatherings: from barbeques to weddings to Jim & Pat stopping in to visit us on their snowmobiles. Our two families were intertwined on many levels and generations.
In all the years and times of seeing Pat, I never saw her without a smile on her pretty face. She was always kind and fun. Pat was a gracious and graceful woman.
Tom and I (and my husband Denny) got to see her a few weeks before she passed. We are thankful for that time of fellowship and reminiscing! I am sad to know she is no longer amongst the living, but relieved that her suffering has ceased.
I envision a joyful celebration of reunifying with Pat & Jim and departed members of both of our families; square dancing in Heaven.

Pat taught me so much about teaching when I was her student teacher in 1972. She loved teaching, loved her students and fellow teachers, and they loved her. I think the most important thing she taught me was to relax and enjoy the students...and enjoy life!
She and Jim took me out dancing several times (I think Jim was trying to find me a good husband :) For a girl from Long Island, country music was new and fun and we had lots of good times and laughter.
Pat also loved her family. She was so proud of all you kids...her Christmas letters always talked about you and her grand and great grand kids. I know you all miss her...I'm so sorry for your loss.

So sorry to read this. I loved working with Pat. She had a great sense of humor and really cared about the children in her room. My condolences.

I am sorry for the families loss. Pat was an amazing person and I enjoyed working with her everyday, laughing and smiling... She surely touched my heart and it was moat definitely a pleasure having her and her family apart of my life. You are missed a great deal. I love you!

Rest in peace, Pat. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to start our B-G teaching careers, in January of 1988 for Paul covering your sabbatical as you and Jim joined the caravan of motorhomes in Mexico, and in January of 1990 for Theresa taking your retirement. We owe our careers to you! Many happy memories of and with you. We'll raise a glass as you and Jim are reunited.
