Obituary of Edward Kelly

Edward William Kelly, 77, passed away at Wilson Hospital on Monday, November 5, 2018. He was born in Albany, NY on March 5, 1941 and graduated from St. Mary's Catholic School in Oneonta and Oneonta Senior High School. He also studied at Devry Tech. Ed worked at Audio Sears, Astrocom, was an electrician at Keith Clark, Taeco, Simonds Precision and as a machinist at Amphenol for 38 years. Additionally, he owned and operated Kelly Machine. He loved his family and friends, cars and talking politics. Ed is survived by: his wife, Nettie (Finch) Kelly; son, Harry Kelly and Lori Cunningham and grandson, Kyle; daughter, Alice and Richard Enck and grandson, Shaun Kelly and granddaughter, Ashley Ohalloran; son, William Edward Kelly, Jr.; granddaughter, Jamie Cunningham; great-grandchildren Kelsey, Jacob and Aiden and Christopher Robins; his brother, Frank Hull and Rose Meyers, his in-laws, Margaret and Ronald Cammer, Katherine Bell, Dorothy Daniels, Carol and Gary Gregory, Jeanette and Art Cash, Agnes Carson and LaVerne and Grace Finch; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Alice Smith-Kelly; father, George Kelly, and his aunt, Evelyn Beckley. Friends are invited to call from 7:00-9:00pm on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, November 9th at the funeral chapel. Burial will follow in the Oneonta Plains Cemetery, Oneonta.
