Obituary of Frederick P. Villiard

Frederick P. Villiard Bainbridge, NY

Frederick P. Villiard, 80, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Wilson Regional Medical Center. He was born on May 20, 1938, son of the late Paul and Evelyn Villiard.

He served his country in the US Army Special Forces. He was a gifted engineer; retiring from Bendix/Amphenol Corp. after many years, and currently working for i3 Electronics in Binghamton.

Frederick was a gentle man, a good husband and dearly loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed boats, and had a sailboat and a fishing boat of his own. He loved living in his current home on the bank of the Susquehanna River.

In 1983, he was married to his wife of 35 years, Karen (Flatland) Villiard, who survives him. He is also survived by his daughter, Sherry Corbett of Roxboro, NC; step-son, Joseph Candelario and Mary Cowen Candelario; step-daughter, Fiona Stimus; 6 grandchildren: Samantha Genson, Kristina O'Brien, Cory Myers, Patricia Kight, Rachel Dotey and Julia Candelario; 3 great-grandchildren and one due to arrive in April 2019; brothers, Paul and William, and a sister, Noreen. He is also survived by his beloved dogs, Bradley and Daffy-Dill.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Annette Dotey.

Friends are invited to call from 5:00-8:00pm on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. Funeral services will follow at 8:00pm at the funeral chapel.
