Obituary of Rita Day Revellese

Rita Day Revellese, age 98, went home to be with our Lord on Sunday, September 16th, 2018. Born in 1919 in Utica, NY, Rita Mary Fullem was the daughter of John J. Fullem and Teresa Prendergast Fullem. She graduated from St. Francis de Sales high school and attended Business School in Utica, NY. After employment as a Junior Accountant with JJ Fullem, Public Accountants and the Utica Observer-Dispatch newspaper, she was employed as an auditor for the US War Department. In 1942, she married Robert Ely Day. They lived in Sidney, NY where they raised 5 children. After her husband's death in 1971, Rita was employed as a secretary by the International Association of Machinists union in NYC. In 1987 she married Joseph B. Revellese of Yonkers, NY and retired to San Jose, CA. Mr. Revellese died in 1994. Rita was predeceased by her son, Ronald Day, two infant brothers: Frederick and Carroll Fullem and two adult brothers: Edward and John Patrick Fullem. She will be dearly missed by her devoted daughter: Ruth (Paul) Terradista of San Jose CA, sons: Robert (June) Day of Dewey Beach DE, Richard (Nancy) Day of Wilmington DE, Rhett (Laura) Day of Palm Desert CA, granddaughters Tina and Pamela, grandsons: Paul Nicholas, Jonathan, Justin, John, Robert, Garrett, Michael, Patrick, Joseph, Christopher and eleven great grandchildren. A mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church 15 Liberty St. Sidney, NY with Fr. Bernard Osei Ampong officiating. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Condolences and memories may be shared online at www.landersfh.com.
