I recently had a small visit with Barbara while she was @ a dental visit and identified myself as a grad of Sidney High with her daughter Debra. I was pleased that she took a moment to speak with me even though she didn't really know me. She was very nice and I was so glad I got to share some time with her, not knowing her illness would take her as soon as it did!
My sympathy to all her family for your loss, she was a nice and lovely lady! God's Blessings for her!

I am so saddened to hear this news. While, I did not know Mrs. Walker, my son has had the pleasure of having her daughter, Lucinda Uhorchak, as his teacher this year. From reading her obituary and knowing Mrs. Uhorchak, I can tell what type of person Mrs. Walker was and the impact she has had on many people.

Dear Walker Family:
We're not sure you know this, but in the last years of our mother's life, your mother was her "phone friend" and a very important part of her life. They never went out to lunch, or socialized in any way, other than their telephone calls. They lived only several yards away from each other, yet bonded their frindship only on the phone. Our mother so very much enjoyed talking to your's - commiserating with each other over their spouses, the associated problems with being wives of aging men and problems with their own health and aging. Our mother passed away in November, 2009, but during her last months with us, your mother meant a great deal to her. Perhaps they can rekindle their friendship in the presence of God. Our thoughts, prayers and sympathy go out to you.
