Obituary of Edith Annette Bell
Edith A. Bell, 77, passed away on Friday, August 31, 2018 in her home surrounded by loved ones. Edith was born in Pittsfield, New York to the late Mary and George Moore. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Richard A. Bell Sr; her son Richard A. Bell Jr; parents Mary and George Moore; sisters Sandy Harrington, Jesse Gould and Frances Kinch; brother George Moore. She is survived by her daughter Cindy Caffery; sons Fredrick (Shannon) Bell and Jodie (Jaime) Bell; daughter in law Jayne Bell; brother Bob Moore; sister Linda Moore; grandchildren Rick Bell, Darren Bell, Sheri Soules, Daniel Blackman, Betsy Blackman, Fredrick Bell Jr, Jack Bell, Hunter Bell and 11 great grandchildren.
Edith owned and operated a family care home for more than 40 years. Edith loved to take care of others and devoted her life to her family and took pride in her "boys". She even adopted a special needs child and was dedicated to caring for him.
Edith loved her home and garden. She meticulously took care of her lawn and fed every squirrel, bird and chipmunk in the area. She was a strong, giving, unselfish, resilient, and hard working woman. She will be missed by many.
The family will receive friends on Thursday September 6th, 2018 from 11:OO am -1:00 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. in Sidney, funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Bainbridge
