I'm so very sorry to hear of Howie's passing. I enjoyed conversations with him and his kind and positive approach to tasks. I remember one conversation with him sharing about being nervous with you riding your own bike; he didn't seem to thrilled with it at the time. My sincere condolences to Howie's family. I was associated with Howie in the NY State Building & Grounds Association for 13 years. I enjoyed his professional manner and honest opinions. He was an encouragement to me as I was learning the B&G profession. Howie always spoke about the best in people and was very proud of the achievement he earned in the SBGA. My condolences to the family. I was a friend of David's, and remember Howie from the time we were in school at Afton. Mrs. Thompson (Howie's mother) was someone I always looked forward to seeing in school, in her position as an aide, and as leader of the Cub Scout "Webelos" troupe. I will remember Howie and the family in prayer, and wish you strength in your faith as you face the difficult times ahead.
