Obituary of Douglas A. Teale

Douglas A. Teale Sidney, NY Douglas A. Teale, 68, of Sidney, passed away at home on July 25, 2018. He was born on July 8, 1950 in Deposit, NY, son of the late Harold and Betty (Decker) Teale. Doug served in the United States Army for 3 years from 1970-1973 and was a member of the Sidney American Legion. He worked for the US Postal Service for 33 years. He loved to watch New York Yankees and Syracuse Basketball games. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Sidney Golf & Country Club. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends at the firehouse. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Regina (Bargher) Teale; his children: Jason (Michelle) Teale and Adam Teale, both of Sidney; grandsons: Cooper and Cameron Teale; step-granddaughters, Makayla and Kyleigh Phillips; brother, Robert Teale of Sidney; brothers-in-law: Paul (Jacqueline) Bargher and Gary Bargher, both of Sidney; sisters-in-law: Barbara (John) Delello of Sidney, Marian (Del) Hoag of Sidney, Sharon Delello of Bainbridge, Marleen McTague of Cohoes and Darleen (Peter) Ricci of Cohoes. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Harold Teale and mother, Betty Teale. Friends may call from 2:00-5:00pm on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, July 30th at the funeral chapel with Rev. Ben Shaw officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Sidney.
