I stopped by our Greek Orthodox Church this afternoon and lit a red candle for Doug. Red candles are used for special needs or when a loved one leaves us. I frequently light one for Katherine.
As the light of the candle glows, please remember Doug and how his heart was there for all his children.
May his memory be eternal.

To Doug's family: I am so sorry to learn of Doug's passing. So many memories from Masonville school to high school of Doug. He always had a big smile for you. I know that anyone who knew him was lucky to call him friend. Rest in peace. I'll miss you. Your Pine Hill friend.
