I had the pleasure of meeting Edson for the first time while I was helping his son and fiance work on their house. I could tell right away where Adam got his kindness and hard work ethic. Most recently I had the opportunity to spend Thanksgiving with Edson and Mary and their family as I was unable to make it home for the holiday. As soon as I arrived and entered the home I could tell that they were surrounded by loving children and grandchildren. The openness and kindness of letting their son's friend stay for the holiday made me feel like I was part of the family. I will be forever grateful that I had the opportunity to meet and spend time with both Edson, Mary and their family. I send the family all my love.

So sad to hear of Edson and Mary's passing. Edson was a good friend to my son David when they were teenagers and they kept touch during the years since. I will always remember him and Mary. I had the good fortune to sit next to Edson at work for 7 or 8 years. While I can't remember exactly how long, it was long enough to know what a tremendous man he was. Fiercely devoted to his family, he spoke of them often and would leave work like a bullet if any one of them (even the dog) had any distress. That's the kind of man he was.
