To the entire family my sincere condolences and well wishes.
While I never had direct dealings with George (I may be one of the very few in Sidney) I heard and saw much over the years. From being the "Mayor of Brooklyn" to the ceremonial firetruck rides for championship teams, George was always one to serve others while gaining personal joy from such endeavors.
That in and of itself is the mark of a productive life. Yet family-first joy was exponentially his source of life's satisfaction. May he forever be remembered in this way and know that he is truly one of this town's most unforgettable characters. Emphasis on character.
