Sad to hear of Don's passing. I'll always remember his quiet spirit and the times we spent together playing music on our instruments. He has now entered into his rest and I am sure enjoying the presence of his Lord.

We will miss Donny driving around in his car. He was a good Christian man and will be missed, but we know that he is now in Heaven with his Lord and Savior. No more pain, no more sorrow. In the arms of his Lord forever.

To Jim and Amy- Although it is difficult to say goodbye to your father, he now can move with ease and is now where pain does not exist- Heaven. I had the pleasure of knowing him for almost 42 years. We had many fine talks and I was always impressed with his common sense and knowledge of so many things. He loved Psalm 119. He also loved all his children and grandchildren. Soon I shall see him again. I am grateful that he had a deep faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Karen and I send our condolences and grieve with you at this time.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of this wonderful man. He was always such an inspiration to me as I was growing up. My late father adored Donny, and it makes me smile to think of them together again. His quiet, kind nature set an example for us all. He gave me a call about a year ago to talk about old times. I will always cherish that phone call. Until I see you again, rest in peace my friend.

Donnie, Thank you for being my best friend for 63 years. We had so many great memories together. I always enjoyed reminiscing with you about childhood memories and common friendships, especially those friends and relatives that were alumni at the one-room school at Coventryville, NY. You did such a wonderful job organizing those school re-unions.
I was so glad to be with you on very, very important days in your life, including the most important; the day in August 1975 when you accepted Christ as your personal Lord & Savior. Thank you for saving that piece of paper as a momento to that life changing moment. Most recently we talked about you walking again in your new body and what a happy day that will be. We both claimed that wonderful promise as given in I John 3:2, 3....
King James Version (KJV)
"2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure."
Thank God for Christ's soon return, when we will be re-united forever.

So saddened by my dear friend's passing. We became quite close over the last several months. He never ceased to put a smile on my face. I want to share his football joke he told me right before the Super Bowl. "Did you hear there are 5 football teams with cats as their mascot? Detroit Lions, Cincinnati Bengals, Jacksonville Jaguars, Carolina Panthers and NEW ENGLAND CHEETAHS" I won't forget laughing with him over that.
He was a strong-willed man and his positive attitude always inspired me. He was quick as a whip too! He told me stories from his teenage years. That was always so impressive to me. My thoughts are with Amy and family. I know how much he cared about all of you.
