I am saddened to learn that the always-loving, always supportive Mrs. Simpson of our childhoods has passed away. She was a role model of a mother and a lovely lady. I remember piles of us giggling in the back of the car. Safe travels, Nannie.

I was very saddened to see Mrs. Simpson's obituary in the TTN today. Mrs. Simpson was a gracious, caring, intelligent and tough :-) women. I first met Mrs. Simpson when she and her son Jim provided me the opportiunity while in college to work for the family's Gibson Good Tools business when it was located on Route 7 in Sidney. I have been forever grateful to her and her family for teaching me important business and life skills that helped me become who I am today. To all the Simpson family and extended family members .. especially Jim and Leigh .. my deepest sympathy to all of you. What a terrific person she was. God Bless.

Mrs. Schauss was such a kind and caring person, always with a smile to share. I appreciated how she would ask about my girls. Even though I hadn’t seen her in quite some time, I thought of her often, especially at Christmastime, when we would send a photocard of the girls. She was a special lady. My sincere condolences to her family.

Amy and Paul - I was saddened to hear of your mother's passing. Your mom and dad were the best of neighbors. I have wonderful memories of the times in your home and particularly with going behind Marcy's on Route 7 to help your dad with things around the house on top of the hill. May God comfort you both with the fondest of memories.

I am so grateful for the sweet and special relationship I got to share with your mom. I so looked forward to our daily scrabble games/turns to just hear about the simple things in her life. But also too over the years am blessed with how she became a connection and source to my own parents lost many years ago.
Much love to you all.

To Leigh, Jim and Amy...our families were so fortunate to share our lives together. We shared the joys and the tears as years went by. Even though she will be so missed like the others... She was embraced by so many to welcome her "home". Many Christmas memories are just a few to be cherished. Your much beloved mother and mine as well began a friendship in school and then a continued foursome before we came along. I will cherish the memories forever! Loved your mother!!
Rest In Peace Nancy!

I have fond memories of Mrs. S. She was always wearing a smile! She was Jim's mother, but she was often our class homeroom mother, too. Even in later years, she always remembered me. My sincere condolances to Leigh, Jim, and Amy, and all of your families. Memories of her are golden right now. May they give you comfort.
