What a wonderful and kind man. He positively impacted the lives of hundreds of people who crossed his path. I will forever remember Joe for all that he did for me and I will always be grateful. My life is better for having known him.

Joe interpreted for many of my students over the years and, although I didn't know him very well, he was always a warm and welcoming presence in the classroom. I remember him interpreting for two nice but potentially disruptive students in a studio art class over fifteen years ago; he had the ability to calmly, but with a sense of humor, get them back on task. Now that I read about him, I can imagine him being a great scout leader.
