Normand C. Bourdon, 74, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, October 19, 2017 at A.O. Fox Hospital.

He was born on June 23, 1943, in New Bedford, MA, son of the late George and Aline Bourdon. Norm married Lynn Bourdon and they resided in Unadilla, where he built their family home. He was a mechanical engineer and designer for Amphenol in Sidney for nearly 40 years.

Norm and Lynn were married for 47 years. They had a son, Jeffrey, and a daughter, Patricia. Norm loved his family very deeply and shared a range of experiences with them. He loved being outdoors, chopping wood, hiking, skiing, going on walks with his wife and playing tennis with his best friend, Ted Cole. He coached little league baseball and was an extremely active, encouraging force in his children's lives. He also enjoyed building decks, landscaping, and most of all-his snow village.

Norm will be missed by his loving wife, Lynn; his daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Matt; his son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Darla, and his amazing granddaughter, Summer. He will also be missed by his sisters, Marilyn and Carole and their families.

The family wishes to thank the staff of FoxCare Oncology, Fox Ambulatory, and Fox Emergency Room and Hospital for their compassion and care.
 

A memorial will take place on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at Keith Clark Park Pavilion in Sidney, NY, rain or shine, to remember the lives of both Normand and Marilyn, who passed away on June 13, 2018.
