Hester Corina Lucietto, 82 of Sidney, passed away after a short illness on Sunday, February 7, 2010 at A.O. Fox Hospital, Oneonta. Hester was born on December 12, 1927, the youngest of seven children of Andrew and Nellie Rose (White) Mouw in Ridgewood, NJ. Hester grew up in the Prospect Park, NJ area. On November 3, 1960, Hester married George William Lucietto in Elkton, MD. George predeceased her on December 11, 2009. She was employed by Van Rolty's in Paterson, NJ for over 15 years. Hester was a loving mother, and took great joy in being a grandmother. She was an excellent cook, and very gifted at knitting and crocheting. Hester also enjoyed playing Bingo and scratch off tickets. Hester was dearly loved and will be truly missed.
Hester is survived by:
Three children: Robin and Ken Gass Sidney
Linda and Tom Haill Missouri
Stephen and Carol Lucietto South Carolina
Many Grandchildren, including: Laura Gass, Danielle Kandalapis, Claire Lucietto, Capt. Tracy Bowman (USAF), Cheryl Mulkey, Sean Lucietto and Wendy Lucietto.
10 great grandchildren
As well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her husband, Hester was predeceased by her son, George Lucietto, and her six older siblings: Rev. Tunis Mouw, Rev. Andrew Mouw, John Mouw, Adrian "Ace" Mouw, James "Jim" Mouw and Adrienne "Ada" Mouw.
