Obituary of William B. Barse

William Barse Sidney, NY William Barse, 66, of Sidney, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 13, 2017 in Deposit. He was born September 6, 1951, Son of the late Benjamin and Isabel (Nichols) Barse in Sidney. Bill worked with his father and later owned Ben's Mobile and Manufactured Homes in Unadilla. He was a truck driver, driving wide loads and over the road most of his life. For the last three years, he drove for Schaeffer Enterprises in Deposit to be closer to home. Bill loved to hunt, mostly big game and especially with family and friends. He enjoyed four wheeling in the woods with his son and his friends. In his down time, Bill liked to read; most recently science fiction was his genre of choice. Spending time with his family and friends was most important to Bill. He is survived by: Wife – Melinda (Schunk) Barse Three Children – Celeste Barse, Jessica and Rod Hunt, Billy Barse and Kailey Kinsella Grandchildren – Tristan and Brayleigh Siblings: Fred Barse and Lorie Hurlbert, Kay and Paul Harrington, Sr., Win Barse, Harry Barse, and Mike and Sandy Barse. Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law – Debra Smith, Timothy and Tammy Schunk, Tom and Teri Schunk Many nieces, nephews and cousins He was also predeceased by parents –in-law, Ronald and Dorothy Schunk, and brothers-in-law, Robert Smith and Ronald Schunk. Friends may call Wednesday, October 18, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM with burial in Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Unadilla.
