Elizabeth J. Smith
Mt. Upton—Elizabeth J. Smith, 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at her home. She was born in Bradford County, Pennsylvania in 1928 and grew up through the Great Depression and World War II.
Elizabeth attended Ridley School of Business where she met Richard F. Smith, whom she married September 24, 1948. They had a good and lasting marriage. He predeceased her in April 2015. Together, they had a son, Dale Richard Smith, born in 1952. He also predeceased her.
Graveside services will take place at 2:00pm on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 in Maplewood Cemetery, Mt. Upton.
Arrangements are under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, Sidney.
