Obituary of Martha Harder

Martha Harder Sidney--Martha Harder, 83, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at her daughter's home in Endicott. She was born on January 5, 1934, daughter of the late Lester and Margarietta Leizear in Unadilla. She retired as an executive secretary for attorney Tom O'Neil. She was a lover of animals as well as auctions. She was a loving and outgoing person. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by: 3 children: Terry Fay (Scott), Deb Cornell (Kim) and Bill Leizear (Liza); brother, Lester "Duke" Leizear (Connie); two sisters: Marjorie Harris (Dave) and Florence Salvatore (Frank); several nieces and nephews, many friends, and her significant other, Charlie McKilligan. She was predeceased by her parents, Maggie and Lester Leizear; brother, John and sister, Betty. Special thanks to the Willow Point South 2 staff, and especially Dorcas (Gail), for taking such special care of this lovely lady, and to Deb Cornell for watching over her and taking care of her. Friends may call from 11:00am-1:00pm on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. Funeral services will begin at 1:00pm at the funeral chapel. Burial will follow in Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Unadilla. In honor of her love of animals, please consider donations to the Delaware Valley Humane Society, 101 E. Main St. Sidney, in lieu of flowers.
