Many many years ago Ms. Doris saw fit to unofficially adopt me and take me under her wing though my affiliation with her daughter, Tina who was my roommate at the time. She would send me cards and letters of encouragement over the years that helped keep me lifted up and strengthen my morale through the many life trials I encountered through the years. Though I lost touch over the years, I hope she knew that I revered her as a second mom and my very own personal earthbound angel. I thank God that I was blessed to have been touched by her loving positive spirit. I still find comfort in some of the things she shared with me over the years. May the family continue to find comfort in the love legacy Momma D continues to leave behind.

May God bless and guide The Puffer family as they face days of grieving for their Mom Over the many years we have known and enjoyed a fine relationship with with Cliff and Doris and all members of an admirable family.Jim's mother was a school mate of Doris's mom.The Obituary mentioned their love for dancing which Jim remembers so well.Cliff would roll up his sleeves as they came on board for an evening of fun on the Dance floor.

Sonnie, Jerry, Blair, Jeff, Shari, Tina, Vance, Maria, and family: I am very saddened to know of your heavy loss. On the times I visited your home when Shari and I were in high school I remember your Mom's quiet smile, her sense of humor, and the love she showed to all of you. Anyone who underestimated her because of her petite appearance was in for a rude awakening! I was in awe of her inner strength.
I am praying for your family to find peace and comfort in one another's presence as you gather to celebrate the amazing woman who you were fortunate enough to call Mom.
Sincerely,
Barbara Palmer Grady
