To the entire Ashworth Family-
We were so sad to hear of the death of your son, husband, father, uncle, brother. Roger was younger than us in high school but growing up in such a small town with your father as a teacher, you get to know everyone and their families pretty well. Later, when we started the business we had several occasions to work with Roger for his residence and through his church family as well. Please know that there are many in the community thinking of you, and praying for healing. Well done Roger, may you rest in peace.

Dear Colleen, Daughters, Roger, Dawn, Liz, Nancy ,Diane and Nathan,
I can't express to you all my sorrow , sympathy and sense of loss in Roger's passing.
I have prayed for him each day since I knew of his cancer and did the same today . It was a shock to read his obituary just now. We moved in October to Myrtle Beach and feel very far away now
Please know that I share your sadness and loss. My prayers will continue for all of you.

I never had the opportunity to meet Roger in person but I spoke and dealt with him occasionally on the phone while he was wearing his “Mr. Fix It” hat at work. Colleen, Molly, Madelynn, Meghan, Marissa, We are so sorry for your great loss. Uncle Roger will always be remembered by us as someone who loved his family and church in a quiet, steadfast and content way.
One time long ago I was in the car with him and we were driving to go see Colleen at college. A song came on the radio and I started singing along to it. "Who sings this?" he asked me. I stopped singing to proudly say, "Billy Joel". "Then let him sing it." he teased.
I remember when he was visiting our home in CT with Colleen and the girls and a new bike came for one of the boys and he put it together for him.
I have a picture of one of my baby boys wearing a Yankees outfit from Uncle Roger and Aunt Colleen.
One time we were visiting and the girls all went down to the stream and got covered head to toe with mud...Uncle Roger was quite amused, got the hose and cleaned them all off with it there on the lawn by the house. The girls were all laughing and running around.....
We remember watching and playing church softball with Uncle Roger.
Rich enjoyed seeing Roger's many photos of wild animals caught on his nature camera on the trails.
He will be greatly missed.
